Paris Hilton and Carl’s Jr. - That’s Hot!

If you’ve seen this racy commerical featuring the ever-tabloided socialite / celebrity washing a car and gnoshing on a burger, you might have found yourself turned on, hungry or both.
Be grateful, for we almost missed our chance to see this clip due to rumors that censors thought it was too hot for TV. Whether the initial censorship concerns were a PR stunt or not, public interest groups are giving the meaty commercial extra buzz by openly attacking it in major news publications. You gotta love the irony of it all.
A friend of Slicksta tipped him off to the name of the director: Chris Applebaum. Apparently he’s the creative genius behind many hot-chic music videos and commercials. Thank you Chris!

When I saw this, I thought, man that’s a good car commercial. Seriously, cause that burger gets like no play, and that car gets a ton. I told my parents, who were watching the Giants game with me when we all first saw this commercial, that I bet that car company sells a ton of cars, despite not actually making the ad. And lo, in the news this week — Bentley has record sales of that car. Sold out. Lucky them for getting some free ad play. I’ve got to think this was a problem in Carl’s Jr test groups for the commerical, but oh well, they got so much press out of this I doubt it hurts them.
I think Carl’s Jr realized that their core customer is the Maxim reader - young males who don’t care about putting a pound of greasy meat in their bodies. I guess maybe this is a tell of my conservative nature (what??) but it made me feel uncomfortable watching this commercial.
