The Lakers Championship and Honey Friend Chicken

Slicksta was fortunate enough to find a sports bar, friendly staff and good food at Quigley’s Restaurant in Bartow where he watched his L.A. Lakers win their 15th NBA Championship last night. A round of applause broke out as the game clock expired and if there were any haterz in the building they were too scared to admit it.

Next time the line at In-n-Out looks a bit too daunting drop in to Quigley’s for solid diner fare, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Try the honey fried chicken and tell ‘em Slicksta recommended it.

The Truth: Caffeine certainly offers brain-boosting benefits, and the added slew of B-vitamins are conceivably helpful for a more efficient metabolism. A New Zealand study found that even the 27 grams of sugar in Red Bull is enough to completely inhibit your body’s ability to burn fat. And taurine, an amino acid that works as a neurotransmitter, might act more like a sedative than a stimulant, according to researchers at Weill Cornell Medical College.

Holiday Cheer Indeed

Slicksta cannot believe how awful his fellow Americans can be. Black Friday shoppers waiting to get into the store trampled and killed a WalMart worker as he opened the door to let them in.

As is WalMart shoppers didn’t already have a bad reputation. This quote from the article pretty much sums up how depraved, selfish and scum-bag these people are.

“When they were saying they had to leave, that an employee got killed, people were yelling ‘I’ve been on line since yesterday morning,’” she said. “They kept shopping.”

Pennsylvania Chef Eats 15 Pound Burger

Slicksta is in awe of Brad Sciullo who recently finished a 15 pound burger in about 4.5 hours. “When asked what possessed him to eat a burger that big, Sciullo said: ‘I wanted to see if I could.’”
